SUPERVISOR
I have been a supervisor for ACSW and MFTI Interns for over 30 years. I graduated from CSUS in 1979 with a Master's in Social Work. I received my LCSW in 1982. I also have a certification in Thanotology specializing in grief and loss. I have worked in the field of Mental Health at Napa State Hospital, CPS in Napa County where I provide court testimonies for custody issues. In addition I was a supervisor at Kaiser Hospice in Vallejo and Sacramento supervising Social Workers, Chaplains and Interns. In my current role in my private practice I supervise ACSW's and MFTI Interns and provide counseling support as well. My belief is that the most important role is developing your own individual identity as a clinician. I also provide clinical supervision, education, licensure preparation and focus in boundaries, counter-transference and other issues to develop your skills as a competent therapist. During my career I have supervised over 45 interns. I find it an area of fulfillment and reward.
THERAPIST
Have you recently experienced the loss of a loved one or are going through a major life change? Loss and change can leave you feeling out of control, angry, grief stricken and fearful of the future. The person you used to be, steady and competent, may now be unrecognizable to you. You are likely feeling isolated, lonely, disappointed and let down. Reactions can include anxiety, panic, and intense crying. It is typical to be forgetful, have difficulty sleeping, or eating too little or too much. If you are having severe reactions including rage or feeling suicidal; please contact your physician.

I specialize in Grief and Loss, PTSD. I also have experience counseling individuals with mental illness such as Bi-Polar Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder. I work with all ages .I am offering counseling for individuals, couples, and groups. I will provide therapy sessions that focus on grief and loss, PTSD and anxiety. I have established stages for moving forward after major life changes that have proven to be successful.
