Clinical Social Work-Therapist, Consultant, LCSW Clinical Social Work Supervisor, LICSW- Clinical Supervisor
I believe that supervision can either be the best experience or the worst. Clinical supervision is a time to sharpen skills, discover your niche, confront your weaknesses, and become a even better social worker for the clients that you serve. These goals are crucial whether you serve in DC or MD. It's equally important that you vigorously comprehend the importance of the ethical principles as documented in our NASW code of ethics, despite your agency mission. I have served as a social work supervisor for social work masters level interns, and served as a interim supervisor for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at Ft Belvoir Community Hospital (formerly DeWitt Hospital). Individual and group therapy with children/adolescents and adults is my area of interest and welcome the opportunity to share what I have learned.
As a therapist, I am interested in your best health, your ability to cope with stressful situations, and for you to become empowered. Developing a trusting relationship with a therapist can be challenging. However, if your goals are towards looking forward whether personally, professionally, or emotionally, I want to stand with you. I look forward to working with you on your journey.
