Hello and thank you for visiting my page!
I have over 10 years experience providing supervision to new and experienced social workers on all levels. I teach Cognitive Behavioral Theory at Wayne State University to advanced year masters level students. I also practice at St. John/Providence Hospital/Eastwood Clinic. I am fully licensed to provide supervision in the state of Michigan for both macro and clinical practice. I thoroughly enjoy the supervision aspect of my practice. I utilize a collaborative/coaching approach that emphasizes the clinician’s strengths, develops skills that promote the values of social work practice. During both individual and group supervision sessions I provide a relaxing and supportive atmosphere that fosters openness and sincere reflection. Supervisees can expect to cover a wide variety of topics, including but not limited to, practice, policy, ethics, self care, assessment and intervention.
Experience
My experience includes practice and management of programs in several domains, including child welfare, mental health, and aging services. I have many years of experience using cognitive-behavioral techniques such as solution focused therapy, exposure therapy and mindfulness. My clinical focus includes working with individuals who suffer from anxiety and stress related issues.
Education
I attended Wayne State University, where I obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master’s degree in Social Work and the Graduate Certificate for Working with Couples and Families. I obtained a Master’s degree in Management from Walsh College of Business and Accountancy.
Personal
I have one darling daughter, who has been my inspiration. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing and early morning walks. I am a native of Michigan, where I continue to enjoy the change of seasons and beautiful landscapes.
